“Heather was the perfect person to help with the gut renovation of our 100+ year old home. She guided our thinking on modernizing while respecting the bones, and truly helped us envision a home we still can't believe we get to live in.”

Once a live-work situation with a doctor’s office on the main level, this 4000sf home was completely reimagined for the indoor-outdoor California lifestyle. We maintained architectural integrity wherever possible but decided to let new elements be new. Case in point: the staircase, which moved from the front to the back of the house, is a blend of architectural elements, and the kitchen, which moved from the second floor, embraces modern materials like porcelain slab countertops and accordion windows that open to the yard. The decor is a lively mash-up of unique vintage, custom pieces, retail finds, and political art.
