“Embrace your history. Love what you bring forward!”
My own home is, naturally, the best example of my mantra to embrace your history. We have my grandmother’s chairs, my parent’s bedroom set, my husband’s grandmother’s cedar chest, and a dining table custom made by my father-in-law, to name a few. To this we added original art, craigslist finds (like our vintage Eames dining chairs), Moroccan and Turkish rugs, and a lot of colorful ceramic lamps. It is a mix that reflects our family and that makes me happy every day!
