“When we first moved into our 1922 house, it was beige walls and hardwood floors throughout. Basically a blank slate. Heather has taken the house back to how it was intended to be: a beautiful, stately home that our whole family loves.”
To bring this lovely Tudor home back to life we restored the architecture and created new built-ins and millwork that look as if they’ve been there forever. We mixed European antiques with comfy upholstery in old world fabrics and maximized seating for the family of six (plus two dogs and a lizard.) We layered in traditional wallpapers and window treatments and a mix of elegant lighting. Original art throughout includes vintage pieces from local shops and oil paintings of Minneapolis scenes created by a local painter discovered at an open studios event.
